Please Note: This is not an official publication of the House of Commons or the House of Lords. It has not been approved by either House or its committees. All-Party Groups are informal groups of Members of both Houses with a common interest in particular issues.
All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are formed by members of both Houses of Parliament from across the political spectrum and meet to discuss issues of concern. Unlike select committees, APPGs are voluntary and receive no parliamentary funding but do have access to parliamentary facilities. The groups have no formal place in the legislature.
The APPG Against Antisemitism was established to combat antisemitism and help develop and seek implementation of effective public policy to combat antisemitism. With committed members and an enviable reputation within Westminster and Whitehall for its impartiality, integrity and measured approach, the Group enjoys unique standing.
Administrative support is provided to the Group by the Antisemitism Policy Trust. This consists of the provision of staff and other declared support. Financial declarations for the Group and details of its members can be found on the register of All-Party Groups Rules for APPGs and other information can be found on the relevant page of the parliament website.
Work of the APPG
Antisemitism has been a feature of parliamentary debate, questions, Early Day Motions and select committee reports. This is often a result of All-Party Group initiatives.
Three major reports commissioned by the APPG leadership and supported by the Antisemitism Policy Trust have helped pave the way for action to address antisemitism in the UK. To read these reports and other relevant documents please visit the publications page.
The Parliament website contains records of all House of Commons and House of Lords business, including committees. It also has information about how Parliament works
The Antisemitism Policy Trust provides the secretariat to the APPG and has a memorandum of understanding with the group, including in relation to GDPR responsibilities.
